Kim is a self trained master of the culinary realm. She enjoys long trips to Metropolitan Market, eight burner wolf ranges and studying international cuisine for the fun of it. She spent her youth backpacking the world and gleaning every bit of culinary experiance she could from her adventures. Now she wows some of Seattle’s greatest chefs with her farm to table, family style cuisine.
Wondering where the meaty, unctuous pork chop I just served you came from? It was delivered this spring by my pig guy... yep, I have one of those. The best part is he specializes in the Idaho Pasture Pig, a variety prized for their earthy flavor and generous marbling. I've got a mushroom gal, a truffle group and a whole lotta other locals who love to share their bounty too. We're a bit of a cooperative. I rely on them.
Without limiting myself by regional dishes, I elevate all cuisines by bending traditional recipes to make use of the freshest Pacific NW ingredients. Sri Lankan and local at the same time?! It can be done, I promise. (This goes for real life too, friends. *wink*)
